Oh, How God Loves Us!

Psalm 51: 1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.

Do you realize how much God loves you? Or do you think He’s looking at a report card on everything that you did? “Did you do this right? Did you do that right?” That’s not the way you treat your loved ones, so why would we think God (who loves us SO MUCH) does that? He’s not looking at what you’ve done. He’s just waiting to love you, because He knows if you receive His love, you’ll change the world for Him.

We need to know God loves us and we can come to Him no matter what. Remember how He said, “Come boldly”? But you think, “Oh no, I can’t come to Him because I did this,” while He says, “ I see you through the blood of My Son, so come boldly and receive what you need – your help, your grace.” There’s too much religion out there, and religion kills a relationship with the Lord Jesus. Religion wears you out. But it’s about relationship. If you’re caught in a place of sin or haven’t talked to Him for 2 weeks, run to God, not away from Him. He’s waiting to restore you to your relationship with Him.

God is Love. Love wants you well, blessed, and happy. You have to first come to Love, and then things will get in line. He’s not interested in your doing; He’s interested in you believing in Him and His love for you. The disciples said, “What do we have to do to work the works of the kingdom of God?” They wanted a list, but Jesus told them, “Just believe on the One who sent Me.” Just believe on Jesus – it’s that easy!

You can ask the Lord for a fresh revelation of how much He loves you. It says that in Ephesians: “that I might not only have knowledge of, but I would experience the love of God – the width, the length, and the depth of it.”

Everyone needs to know the deep, deep love of God. It’s the love of God that draws all men unto Jesus. It’s not the 10 commandments, but the love…and we can’t help but share His love with other people when we have a revelation of it for ourselves.
